This is my absolute favourite place in the area to eat. Can not recommend it enough!
The food was very tasty and the food arrived very fast once ordered. I enjoyed the teriyaki aubergine bao bun and being a vegetarian the food was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and hygenic. Would recommend for a family meal but it is quite small, they do have a table for six though which provided a large table. FW Aged 11
First time ever at Sumo. Me and two friends went. We decided to chose multiple items each and then share, so that we could try more of the dishes. We really enjoyed it all. I particularly enjoyed the ribs, gyozas, chips, tempura & fried chicken. I have tried to put the names of the dishes next to the photos. I didn't take a photo of the vegetarian gyozas but they were amazing! Staff were lovely and patient with us while we made our minds up!
Great food and service, best Pan Asian in the area by far! Exceptional guys keep it up! I'm devastated as I didnt take any pictures, Food tastes and looks amazing.
Got a takeaway on a Sunday afternoon and I am not kidding you it was the best Chinease/asian I’ve ever had. Flavours were amazing, everything cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to eat that food again.
Had the most amazing dining experience at Sumo Restaurant! The food was absolutely fantastic – every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. From start to finish, the service was top-notch – the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere was lovely too – warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed night out or a special occasion. What truly made the evening extra special was the surprise birthday cake they brought out – such a thoughtful and generous touch that made the celebration unforgettable. Thank you, Sumo, for an incredible evening – we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended!
Nice foods and good service I always come on lunch time Sunday nearly 2pm (time for kitchen close) but they treated me and my son so kind. The price is reasonable.
I've got family in the Beverley area, and they had mentioned this restaurant (Sumo Pan Asian) a few times. On my last visit, we decided to go there one evening. Wow ! Amazing. My favourite food happens to be Thai food, and this was, indeed, a lovely treat. It's Pan-Asian, so a mixture of all the delicious tastes or the east. I had a Beef Pad Thai and a Crispy Duck Boa Bun ... OMG sooo nice, flavourful and delicious. My brother had a Bento Box and I can't remember exactly what dad had, but I think it was pork. and we had some mixed vegetables to share. All looked and smelled amazing. The restaurant is 'bijou' and but atmospheric. All the tables were full and the place was abuzz. Sumo Pan Asian is located in the Flemingate Shopping Centre, amongst a host of other restaurants. So glad that we chose this one though. Great prices, great food, friendly staff. What more could you want. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. They do take-aways too, of course.
